Doug and Danielle
As both a business major and student advocate, Doug learned the importance of effective storytelling while at Elon University. His passion for aiding others culminated with his induction to Omicron Delta Kappa, a 100-year old national leadership honor society. Professionally, Doug has cultivated his analytical and writing ability through internships in the nonprofit, higher education, and private sectors, highlighted by supporting the litigation group at the prestigious WilmerHale law firm in Washington, D.C. Shortly following his graduation from Elon University in 2016, Doug was appointed to serve a two-year term as a Youth Trustee on the Elon Board of Trustees.
When she enrolled at Elon University, Danielle knew that no matter what career she pursued, she wanted to write every day. Expressing ideas and telling stories with the written word is a skill she was passionate about developing. Danielle utilized and furthered this skill through coursework and editorial internships with organizations such as Hartford Magazine and ESSENCE.
Danielle graduated from Elon in May of 2016, and is currently the Editorial Assistant at Food Network Magazine. Shaped by her time abroad in both Turkey and London, and stateside experiences, she is embarking on her career as a lifestyle journalist through print and digital media.
